The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is an inner eastern metropolitan Council, nestled on the outskirts of the Adelaide CBD. The area enjoys a reputation as one of Adelaide's most desirable places to live, work, study and visit.
An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Executive Assistant to join the Council's Urban Planning & Environment Department on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will assist in project and administration functions within the Urban Planning & Environment Department, including researching, preparing and coordinating projects and initiatives, as required.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, Urban Planning & Environment, the Executive Assistant, Urban Planning & Environment is responsible and accountable for the provision of high-level confidential administrative and project support to enable the General Manager and the Urban Planning & Environment Department, to operate efficiently and effectively. You will also be required to liaise with stakeholders providing high-level support to all business units within the Urban Planning & Environment Department as required.
About You
To be successful in this position you will need to be a positive, passionate and pro-active team player who values accuracy and quality and service excellence in their work and possess the following skills and experience:
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a related role (essential)
• High-level of flexibility to meet rapidly changing priorities and meet deadlines (essential)
• Proven high level administration and executive assistance experience in a fast paced and multidisciplinary team environment (essential)
• Experience with report writing, creating, drafting and editing correspondence, documents and presentations (essential)
• A certificate-level qualification or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Customer Service or Governance (desirable)
• Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
• Excellent organisational skills, including time management, prioritisation and file management
• Excellent digital and Information Technology skills and knowledge
