Position Location: Burgmann Anglican School, 4 The Valley Avenue, Gungahlin
Position Report to: This position is responsible to the Principal.
Burgmann Anglican School is an Early Childhood to Year 12 School with campuses located at Gungahlin and Forde.

The school prides itself on its innovative and creative approach to curriculum and education and its strong sense of community and pastoral care of the students and their families and the staff of the school. The school has a strong link with the Gungahlin Anglican Church which shares facilities and resources with the school.
Duties TheExecutive Assistant will work in close partnership with the Principal and Executive team, and as such the successful applicant will demonstrate outstanding levels of professionalism and discretion.
The position will be responsible for supporting the Principal including through:
Management of the Principal's diary including forward planning on a yearly, term by term, weekly and daily basis including travel arrangementsAssisting with email management, as well preparing and drafting appropriate verbal and written responses both internally and externallyProvide a welcoming experience for all who visit or telephone, whether they are internal or external visitorsPreparation of a range of reports and communicationsPlay a collaborative role working with the Business Office, Admissions and Human Resources TeamsProvide high quality meeting papers and minutes to, as well as participation in, a number of executive meetings and committeesWork with the Executive and Faculty members to coordinate and publish the School CalendarProject manage Tier 1 Events and liaise with Sub Schools for Tier 2 eventsWork collaboratively with administration and events teams to ensure sub school and whole school events are managedCo ordinate relief and manage customer service standards for front office staffSupport of risk and compliance managementProactive approach to day to day duties and upcoming eventsCarry out any other duties as requestedSelection Criteria Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality and professional rapport at all timesService focused mindsetFriendly and caring attitude towards students, parents and staff and the ability to deal maturely, sensitively and confidentially with difficult situationsExcellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detailExcellent administrative, organisational and time management skillsAbility to effectively problem solve, work to deadlines and to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work collaboratively, productively and communicate with staff at all levelsProficient in the use of MS Office and ability to learn new IT systems quicklyCurrent Working with Vulnerable People registrationAbility to work outside of normal hours from time to time as required or consultedTerms and Conditions The successful applicant will be employed under the Independent School ACT (Support and Operational Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2021.
