You will support the Executive Director and the leadership team in Multicultural Affairs while utilising departmental business support systems to provide efficient and effective administration, financial and records management support services to officers of the Multicultural Affairs team to assist in the achievement of departmental goals.
The Executive Assistant key responsibilities are:
• Maintain the Senior Management diaries, including the organisation of meetings, appointments, conferences, seminars, accommodation and travel arrangements.
• Contribute to the effective administration of the Multicultural Affairs team, including the maintenance of various registers while complying with statutory and departmental requirements.
• Use word processing, spread sheeting, database and records management software packages.
• Perform and monitor purchasing of goods and services, assets and attractive items to ensure expenditure is within departmental procedures, guidelines and financial delegations.
• Liaise, consult and maintain effective relationships with team members, internal and external clients and other stakeholders.
• Participate in and contribute to team projects and activities and assist team members to undertake projects and activities.
This position has no Human Resource or Financial Delegations.
