About the RegionThe South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. The region is home to the stunning Bunya Mountains, where you can enjoy spectacular rainforest walks, nights by the fire in hidden chalets and the best scenic views Queensland has to offer. The South Burnett region is renowned for its great wine, gourmet foods and recreational facilities such as Lake Boondooma and Yallakool tourist parks.About the roleBased in KingaroyMaximum Term (Up to 12 Months) Full Time $71K - $82K per annum + Allowances + SuperCouncil is seeking someone who wants to make a genuine, tangible differenceto our community and excels in dynamic and fast paced environments. TheExecutive Assistant is responsible for providing the CEO with high quality,accurate, timely and professional senior executive and administrative support.This position is required to ensure effective communication, administration and coordination of information and events related to the Office of the CEO and to ensure that requirements for support are actioned and always maintained.You will be expected to effectively coordinate the activities of the CEO throughstrategic diary management, which will include daily correspondence, travelarrangements, workflow management, and meeting support. It is expected that the successful applicant has a high level of financial literacy and a soundknowledge of business processes. A broad IT system experience is required as an average day will include preparing, coordinating, and reviewing high-levelcommunication and written information in the form of briefs, emails, andcorrespondence, to respond to issues and enquiries.Mandatory QualificationsMinimum requirement of a current C Class driver's licenceDesirable Qualifications Certificate III in BusinessBenefits and perksWork/Life balance (9 Day Fortnight Roster)Up to 12% employer superannuation contributionAccess to Salary Packaging BenefitsAccess to Corporate membershipsAccess to Health and Wellbeing programsSkills and experience**Please address the following key selection criteria items below, as part of your application**Previous experience in providing executive level administrative assistance displaying excellent customer service by being confidential, professional, discrete and courteous.High level of keyboard and data entry skills, and the ability to take meeting minutes with speed and accuracy using advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite and working knowledge of corporate and financial software systems.Well-developed oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at all levels.Proven time management skills including the ability to accept responsibility, display initiative, prioritise work, meet deadlines and work under pressure.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
