APS Level 5 Adelaide SA Ongoing & Non Ongoing About the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (the NDIS Commission) is an independent agency established on 1 July 2018 to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services.
The NDIS Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia and a non-corporate entity under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
About this opportunity The NDIS Commission is seeking to engage an experienced and capable Executive Assistant to work with the newly appointed Associate Commissioner, in Adelaide, South Australia.
The Executive Assistant will report to the Associate Commissioner and work alongside the Office of the NDIS Commissioner's team.
The Office of the Associate Commissioner provides high quality executive support with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, liaising closely with senior staff in the NDIS commission, key stakeholders across the Commonwealth, states and territory governments, people with disability and representative organisations.
Key duties of the role The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative and coordination support to the Associate Commissioner, including managing and organising meetings, briefings and events and anticipating and managing competing commitments.
The Executive Assistant will establish review processes and procedures that meet the Associate Commissioner's requirements and will have responsibility for the following key duties: Provide high level administrative support to the Associate Commissioner, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars and organising travel Establish administrative processes for the smooth running of the Associate Commissioner's office Monitor the Associate Commissioner mailbox, prioritising and actioning items while escalating urgent matters Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage requests, organise meetings, create meeting agendas, take meeting minutes and track action items Confidentially handle sensitive material and information on behalf of the Associate Commissioner, maintain confidentiality and model ethical behaviour and practices consistent with the APS Code of Conduct and APS Values Work collaboratively with other Divisions to contribute to the effectiveness of the Associate Commissioner's interactions with other NDIS Commission Executives Capability of our ideal candidate The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience delivering support to a high-level executive or similar role, a strong understanding of the NDIS Commission and NDIS sector, as well as excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
