Harvest Ban & Road Closure Notification Heavy Vehicles/RAV Endorsement To provide assistance to the Chief Executive Officer and the Finance Manager with the processing of the many diversified Financial Statements, Budgets and Reports To arrange for the distribution of all Agendas, Minutes, Reports and correspondence to all Councillors Maintaining and updating Policy Manual Inward correspondence registering Updating online Registers, Returns and Related Party Declarations All advertising in the Endeavour Newspaper, Advocate and West Australian, or other papers/publications as directed by the CEO Newsletter Production Health, Building, Planning Administration Support Local Emergency Management Committee Support Manage Stationery and Photocopier COUNCILLORS: To carry out secretarial duties for the Shire President and Councillor's, if and when required, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer To assist Councillors where possible with their enquiries on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer Updating Councillor Manuals on iPads as required Arrange Councillor's attendance at Local Government Week including accommodation and registrations Manage Councillor Training Schedules GENERAL: To provide support for all other Staff Members if and when required To co-ordinate the arrangements for various Council functions and Meetings: Xmas party, AGM, Citizenship Ceremonies Distribution of incoming mail Co-ordinate Staff Uniform ordering Employment/Job Vacancies Organise Annual Garden Refuse Collection Communications, Web Page and Facebook Maintenance Work with care for your own safety and health and that of others Participate in developing safe work procedures and follow them Participate in training as required The Requirements: 3+ years experience in Executive Assistance / Similar role Previous experience in Council or Government is highly advantageous High level of typing skills, previous use of current edition of Microsoft Word, Publisher and Access Good personal presentation and pleasant manner required Ability to cooperate well with other Staff Members Ability to communicate personally both over the telephone and counter in a courteous, helpful and professional manner Ability to execute time management and organisation skills All temporary contractors, Citizens or Working Holiday Visa put forward must have a valid Police Clearance check and Full Work Rights to work in Australia #J-18808-Ljbffr
