The University of Newcastle Students' Association (UNSA) is searching for a dynamic Executive Assistant to support our Executive Leadership Team and help shape the future of student advocacy and engagement.
Who We Are
UNSA is a student-led not-for-profit organisation funded by the Student Services Amenities Fee (SSAF).
We are committed to supporting and advocating for the welfare, education, and engagement of over 37,000 students across the University of Newcastle's campuses.
Our services include free workshops and trainings, student media (Opus Magazine), clubs and societies, equity collectives, student advice, and engaging events and activities.
What You'll Do Streamline Leadership: Provide high-level administrative, logistical, and executive support to the CEO and COO.Drive Excellence: Manage calendars, prepare reports, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Collaborate with Purpose: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Manage Resources: Oversee basic financial administration, including payroll, invoicing, and budget tracking.Create Impact: Coordinate events, training sessions, and retreats that align with UNSA's mission.What We're Looking For Organised Multitasker: Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.Outstanding Communicator: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adept at navigating internal systems.Cultural Fit: Aligned with UNSA's values of inclusivity, collaboration, and empowerment.Professional Edge: Previous experience in an Executive Assistant or similar role, preferably in higher education or the not-for-profit sector.Why Join Us? This position is based at the UNSA Building on the Callaghan Campus, with occasional travel to other campuses.
Applicants must hold a current NSW Driver's Licence and be willing to undertake a Police Check.
