It leads key cross-sector collaboration and plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight, and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.About the VRQAThe Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) regulates for quality learning outcomes.
We register:School education providers, including approval on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) for courses delivered by schools.Senior secondary education providers (both school and non-school providers) including approval on CRICOS for school sector courses.Children for home schooling in Victoria.Organisations to award senior secondary qualifications.Vocational education and training (VET) providers that deliver accredited training to domestic students in Victoria only, or Victoria and Western Australia only.We also:Regulate apprenticeships and traineeships in Victoria.Monitor group training organisations in Victoria.Approve school and non-school providers as overseas secondary student exchange organisations.Accredit courses and register qualifications for VRQA-registered providers and senior secondary courses and qualifications in Victoria.Investigate complaints against our registered providers.Maintain a register of all education and training organisations we register and the accredited courses they deliver.Act to protect the interests of students as consumers of education or training services.About the RoleThe Executive Assistant supports the Deputy CEO Students and Services and Deputy CEO Skills and Training and provides support to the office of the Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority.
Reporting to the Executive Coordinator, your role will include diary and inbox management, record keeping, stakeholder management, assisting with HR, and other tasks assigned to you by the Executive Coordinator.The position requires the successful applicant to demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills, including the capacity to manage the relationship interface on behalf of the CEO and Deputy CEOs with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.The Executive Assistant will report to the Executive Coordinator to support the establishment and effective implementation of consistent processes across the VRQA.AttributesThe Executive Assistant will be required to show initiative and accountability and be able to establish relationships within the VRQA and across the Education portfolio more broadly.Desirable Qualifications and ExperienceExperience in a CEO's office or equivalent is desirable.Further InformationFor more details regarding this position please see the attached position description for the capabilities to address in the application.The department values diversity and inclusion in all forms - gender, religion, ethnicity, LGBTIQ+, disability, and neurodiversity.
