The MHWC is an accountability body in the mental health and wellbeing system established under the new Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 (the Act) and recommended by the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.
The MHWC responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on the performance, quality and safety of the mental health and wellbeing system, holding government to account, handling and investigating complaints, and monitoring government's progress in reforming the system.
About the role: The Executive Assistant plays a key role in providing executive support for three Commissioners in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission (MHWC).
This involves providing confidential secretarial and administrative assistance and ensuring the effective delivery of the Commission's objectives.
The role reports to the Manager, Executive Services and sits within the Executive Services Team.
How you'll make a difference: Passionate about meaningful work and contributing towards the reform of Victoria's mental health system. A proactive self-starter with proven experience in providing the full range of executive support functions to a senior executive. Highly collaborative and cool under pressure; adept at juggling competing demands. Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to write in a clear, fluent and concise manner. Experience in providing high-level confidential support to a senior executive, preferably in a statutory authority or similar environment.
