This is a really diverse role with ever-changing priorities requiring the successful candidate to possess a business mindset that allows them to influence outcomes and make both collaborative and independent decisions.
As the General Manager's true right hand (and maybe even his left!
), you will have an adaptable communication style and an ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
You will be the glue between the General Manager & well, everyone so you will need to have a calm, level head and enjoy having a laugh (a dry sense of humour wouldn't go astray).
Your duties will evolve over time but initially it will be your responsibility to:
Manage and facilitate the scheduling of diaries, activities, meetings and appointments both personal and professional.Manage all communication channels and determine priorities and action required to coordinate responses.Take detailed minutes of meetings, phone calls and conversations, following up on actionable deliverables.Ensure the GM is properly prepared for meetings/commitments and has all relevant information and documentation including unscheduled meetings and calls.Proofread outgoing business documents and make necessary changes including formatting changes to ensure all documents are of high quality.Support the GM in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports to inform business strategies.Assist in the planning and execution of projects, tracking project timelines, deliverables, and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.Manage information flow, preempting the GM's needs.Provide timely and accurate administrative assistance, including document preparation, and handling confidential information with discretion.Attend to administrative tasks for both our core business – GVK but also some of the GM's subsidiary companies.Manage a centralized, structured, technology-driven information and data storage system – most likely utilizing Office365 suite – ToDo, Planner, Sharepoint, GVK Intranet etc.Administer business systems such as Employment Hero, MS Office.Not want to be the GM.This role isn't for the faint-hearted and building an effective relationship will be key and for this you should be rewarded!
