The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Government Procurement Group as Executive Assistant at the new Department of Government Services. As the Executive Assistant and reporting to the Executive Director, you will provide high level, confidential executive and administrative support to the Executive Director, Government Procurement and the leadership team as required. The role requires a highly organised individual with a communicative and collaborative approach, initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision, to ensure that deadlines are achieved. The successful candidate will possess excellent professional liaison skills and experience in organisation and stakeholder relations.
About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in providing executive support to senior executives within a large, complex organisation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare project briefs and reports. Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.Highly developed organisational and planning skills, including attention to detail. Strong commitment to providing excellent internal and external customer service, including the ability to prioritise tasks in strict timelines.For specific responsibilities please review the attached position description.
