Join a leading not-for-profit health organisation as a Temporary Secretary/Executive Assistant and support the national voice of nurses.
3-month Temporary Role - Immediate Start Executive Assistant with extensive board experience Canberra CBD, 2600, ACT Full-Time, Office-Based with Potential to WFH We are seeking an experienced Board Secretariat/Executive Assistant for a 3-month temporary assignment based in Deakin, ACT, with an immediate start.
This role offers the opportunity to work in-office with potential flexibility to work from home.
About the Organisation: Our client is a not-for-profit health organisation that is the national voice of nurses focused on policy, advocacy, and education to advance the status, recognition, and respect for the industry.
About the Role: The Board Secretariat/Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality secretariat support to the Board and Board subcommittees, whilst providing executive-level administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and President.
Duties include: Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and Chair as required Write highly professional correspondence on behalf of the CEO and Board to specified stakeholders and/or external organisations Arrange Board and Committee meetings including logistics and attendance Communicate all meeting details to Directors and attendees Contribute to the overall budget process including maintaining a record of Board expenditure and timely processing of credit card reconciliations and Directors' expense reimbursements Preparation and distribution of meeting agenda, minutes, board papers and assist with regulatory filings, ensuring a high level of accuracy and within target timeframes To be successful you will have: A qualification in administration and/or equivalent work experience 3+ years experience working with and supporting Boards and Executives Demonstrated ability to handle matters appropriately to maintain confidentiality Demonstrated high-level computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a high volume and deadline-driven environment whilst maintaining a high standard of work If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and available to start immediately, we'd love to hear from you!
