THE ROLE:We are seeking dynamic and collaborative APS 6 Executive Assistants (EAs) who have significant experience providing executive support within Government. This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills and the proven ability to proactively manage multiple competing priorities.To be successful in this role you will be required to undertake work that is complex in nature, and to work under limited direction. You will exercise initiative and judgement in the application of policies and procedures.An Austrade-only merit pool will be created from this recruitment round to fill similar vacancies that may arise during the subsequent 18 months from date of advertising.DUTIES INCLUDE:Managing SES schedules and emails and bringing priority matters to the attention of the SES and/or their Executive Officer.Managing travel bookings, approvals and itineraries.Coordination of meetings on behalf of the SES, compiling and distributing agendas and other supporting material as necessary.Providing quality assurance across a range of administrative approvals, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and reinforcing a culture of compliance.Prioritise and oversee the completion of tasks, undertaking analysis and thinking strategically to achieve outcomes in line with Austrade's strategy.Liaise effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, exercising judgement and professionalism to build productive working relationships.Communicating with influence, particularly with SES.Providing effective leadership to a team of Executive Assistants and together with the Executive Officer, managing leave coverage and available resources across the group.Proactively ensuring the SES is equipped with relevant briefings ahead of meetings and events.Maintaining confidentiality and privacy of the Agency's business matters at all times.Streamlining senior executive workflow and develop support processes to enhance efficiency.Performing 'front of office' support functions, including meeting room set up and greeting visitors.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including remote support as required (e.g. while SES is travelling).CLASSIFICATION: APS6LOCATION: Canberra - ACTSALARY: $97,613 - $105,979CLOSING DATE:Applications close at 11:30PM, Thursday, 28 November 2024 (AEDT)ELIGIBILITY:Australian Citizenship - Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.Security Clearance - Our successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.For more detailed information please view the Information Pack.Start your application by clicking the "begin" button.In the spirit of reconciliation we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
