About The BUSY School… The BUSY School is part of The BUSY Group, a not-for-profit organisation presenting over 45 years as a community partner providing employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, NDIS, disability employment support, and allied health services.
The BUSY School is an independent Special Assistance School with 8 campuses across Cairns, Brisbane, and Gold Coast/Coolangatta, providing an alternative program for Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education.
Each campus provides a supportive and safe learning environment for young people by providing them with an education program that includes vocational education and training (VET), work experience and opportunities for school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. Our team support the students to gain employability and transferability skills to increases their sense of wellbeing, resilience, belonging, academic achievement, career exploration and employment outcomes.
Our teams' focus is centred at re-engaging our students to learn, remain eligible for a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and gain employment or further training outcomes upon student's graduation from Year 12.
Job Description A bit about the role… This isn't your everyday EA role! We are seeking a charismatic, organised and excellent communicator for a prominent position working alongside the CEO and school leadership team in a very dynamic environment. At The BUSY Schools we care about quality, and we care about our students. We are hardworking, dynamic and fun. Some days we are thrown a curve ball but together we get in and get the job done with a smile. You will need superior organisational skills to provide coordination of BUSY Schools projects, group reporting needs, grant writing, and regulatory submissions.
Highly accomplished written and verbal communications will be required to manage systems, reporting, governance and projects across the Schools network and assist the CEO with relationship management of various stakeholders internally and externally. You'll also need some serious wrangling skills, attention to detail and a sense of humour to provide broad administrative support to the CEO.
The objective is for our team to feel they can always pick up the phone to you with the confidence you will point them in the right direction with sound advice. This role is originally set at a 3 month fixed term contract but has the possibility of extension and permanency. 
An everyday might include some of the below tasks:
Oversight and coordination of projects and plans governed by the CEO, Board of Directors and School leaders; Assisting in research and analysis of information as required for Schools projects or in preparation for governance meetings, reports and submissions;  Coordination of consistent reporting of BUSY Schools data for standardised government reports including State/Federal funding census dates, Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) and Block Grant Authority (BGA) submissions; Maintaining currency and awareness of BUSY Schools and BUSY Group policies and procedures and the updating of these as required for operational and governance needs of the Schools.
