What you will do:This position will provide high level support to a former Governor-General including assisting with administrative tasks, coordinating the efficient and professional operations of the office and the management of information and records management. To be successful in this role it is essential to have sound attention to detail, organisational skills, be an excellent communicator and able to work independently. The occupant will demonstrate strong relationship management, interpersonal skills, professionalism and a high degree of discretion in the completion of their duties. A high degree of autonomy is required for this position.
What you will bring:Our ideal candidate will provide high level support to a former Governor-General, including: Managing correspondence and invitationsServe as the primary point of contact for external and internal communicationsComplex diary management and coordination, including appointments, meetings and eventsBooking travel in consultation with the Department and in accordance with Departmental guidelinesBooking ComCar transport for the former Governor-GeneralExercising initiative in the application of established work practices and implement processes where no guidelines existMaintain the former Governor General's office and suppliesAssisting with the collection and checking of research to support speech preparationManaging all aspects of event planning, including scheduling and logisticsEligibility:Security Clearance Required: Baseline Vetting (Protected)
