The Executive Assistant provides executive administrative support to the Executive Director and executive team and serves as a pivotal point of contact and coordination for key internal and external stakeholders, from a diverse range of government, community service, public and private sectors.
The Executive Assistant works as part of a small Directorate team, in an environment where timely response to, and escalation of, matters is key to supporting the executive team and area operations, particularly for effective service delivery and stakeholder management.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Triage, coordinate and track directorate and executive correspondence and requests in a busy and timeline-driven environment; including client and service-delivery related matters.
Answer queries, provide timely advice, undertake follow up action on behalf of the executive team as required; including escalation of urgent or high-risk issues for appropriate executive action.
Provide a range of effective executive support functions, including accurately managing executive and directorate diaries; providing quality support to committees, working groups and meetings, including progress reports on outstanding matters; and preparing reports, briefs and correspondence.
Arrange meetings and conferences, including coordinating papers, organising venues, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
COVID-19 VACCINATION
The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice , given their individual circumstances.
As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
