About the roleWe are currently seeking an Executive Assistant at the APS4 level for a Commonwealth Government client based in Canberra CBD.An initial 4-month labour hire contract is on offer, with the possibility of a 6-month extension.Please note: only Australian citizens with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance can be considered for this role. Duties: Manage the Branch Head's inbox and calendar, schedule meetings and ensure the Branch Head's diary is well maintained and up-to-date.Book meeting rooms and escort in-person guests.Collate meeting papers, minutes, reports and briefs, printing out as required.Prepare responses to routine and less complex enquiries.Coordinate clearances and follow-up on information to ensure deadlines are met.Book travel, and reconcile expenses and receipts.Support projects and work closely with the other members of the executive support team.Skills and experience: Demonstrated experience providing high level administrative support in a fast-paced environment.Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or the ability to learn these quickly.Ability to communicate effectively and be influential by delivering information clearly in a variety of formats.Ability to collaborate across teams by using great interpersonal skills that enable you to speak up and engage with senior leaders and a broad range of stakeholders.Experience working in a senior manager's office in the private sector or the Australian Public Service is desirable but not essential.Culture and benefitsPeople enjoy contracting with relatbl because our business is owned and managed by people who have first-hand experience working as contractors.
