The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) Woden Campus Project will deliver a purpose-built CIT Campus, Youth Foyer and a new public transport interchange in the Woden Town Centre, as well as CIT Yurauna, a new dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Educational Centre of Excellence, at the CIT Bruce Campus.

About this opportunity
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high-level executive and administrative support to the CIT Woden Campus Project Director (Executive Group Manager) and the Deputy Project Director (Executive Branch Manager), and administrative support to the broader team. Working closely, under limited supervision, with the executive team, the Executive Assistant will ensure all incoming and out-going communications are managed in a timely manner, prepare correspondence as required and manage the executives' diaries, including appointment bookings, meetings and preparation of travel arrangements for the broader team.

Experience in providing high level executive and administrative support services, prioritising, coordinating and managing the workflows within tight timeframes, and a fast paced and dynamic team.Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, liaison and problem-solving skills, and the demonstrated ability to prepare sensitive correspondence and reports with accuracy and attention to detail.Proven proficiency in the use of various standard computer applications, ministerial and briefing procedures.A collaborative approach to developing productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results.Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the ACT Government and Major Projects Canberra Values framework, workplace respect, equity and diversity framework, workplace health and safety best practice and industrial democracy principles and practice.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Experience in collection management, including the use of software or systems for cataloguing and managing artworks as well as an understanding of best practice collection management principles will be an advantage.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
