About the role: The executive advisor works within a small team providing support and advice to the Deputy Commissioner Capability. This includes ensuring the high quality of reports and briefing papers that are being presented. The role requires development of productive working relationships with staff within the Office of Chief Commissioner, senior executives and advisors in the departments and commands that report to the Deputy Commissioner.

Your duties will include: Reviewing briefing papers and strategic level documents and providing feedback to advisors and key staff. Briefing the Deputy Commissioner on key issues, briefing papers and strategic documents Working closely with senior police and VPS employees Role modelling of organisational values and ethical behaviour As the successful applicant, you will have: High level attention to detail High level interpersonal skills Ability to understand complex issues and provide verbal briefings that address the key points required for decision making. Strong knowledge of the policing environment and key contemporary issues impacting on Victoria Police. Understanding of the structure and governance arrangements within Victoria Police Requirements and relevant information: This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen. The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
