Actively contribute towards the achievement of strategic projects and prioritiesA unique team creating an extraordinary city.About the Opportunity We are seeking an Executive Advisor to support City of Adelaide's new City Community portfolio and provide high-level support and advice to ensure the effective management and achievement of strategic goals.
This role involves proactively seeking information on sensitive, complex, and political matters, acting as a key point of contact for the Director, City Community and coordinating responses across the portfolio.
Through the maintenance and fostering of relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the management and delivery of a broad range of projects, and assist the Director City Community through researching and preparing high-quality briefing papers, reports, presentations, and speeches.
The City Community Portfolio comprises the City Culture, Customer and Marketing, and Regulatory Services programs, and aims to deliver exceptional experiences for our community and customers, and provide opportunities for creativity, recreation and wellbeing in a city that is safe, accessible and supportive of all our communities.
This role is an opportunity for you to play a significant part in helping shape the direction of our City Community portfolio and having a significant impact on our city.
About You To be successful in this role you will have:
The ability to analyse complex, politically sensitive information and formulate measured responses which minimise risk exposure.Demonstrated experience in working in a high profile and often sensitive and political environment requiring professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality.Demonstrated ability to prioritise and be flexible when responding to changing priorities and demands.Substantial experience in managing the development and delivery of high standard, cost effective and timely Executive advice services, procedures and policies that contribute significantly to the achievement of corporate goals and objectives.Proven experience in the development of a range of professional documents, including but not limited to, correspondence, presentations, submissions, briefing papers and reports.The ability to effectively lead and manage projects in a highly accountable environment.About Us Located in the geographic heart of Kaurna Country, the City of Adelaide celebrates its cultural heritage, unique natural surrounds and structures its footprint in a way that allows it to adapt to the changing needs of the community and a dynamic global landscape.

Applications close at 11.59pm, Sunday 8 December 2024. Please be advised this is for a full-time, permanent opportunity with a starting salary at the Level 8 classification commencing at $127,346 + 11.5% superannuation.
Please note that there is a 3% enterprise salary increase to $131,166 commencing the first full pay period in January 2025.
