We're a Tassie-owned and operated Civil Contractor. We've been around for over a decade and have worked throughout Tasmania. Our clients include both local and state governments, utility providers, national companies, privately owned businesses as well as individuals.
We provide an extensive range of services within the construction industry operating across three key areas: civil, telecommunications and our newest division, plumbing.
Due to increasing workloads, we are currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team.
ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
· Collaborate with the Project Manager to meet job specifications and requirements
· Supervise day-to-day site management
· Works delegation within the team
· Assist in coordinating plant and materials
· Assist in ensuring compliance with all safe working policies and practices
· Maintain and control onsite records
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
You'll have at least three (3) years of experience operating an Excavator, particularly close to existing underground assets. A General Construction Induction (White Card), Nationally recognised Excavator competency, and current driver's license (MR or higher, highly desirable). Experience with or the ability to learn Topcon technology will be highly advantageous.
You'll have a strong eye for detail and quality. Safety is important to us so strict adherence to Quality, Occupational Health Safety, and Environmental Management Systems is non-negotiable.
You'll be able to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks effortlessly, and possess good problem-solving capabilities. You'll have effective communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate your team. This is a field-based role, so you'll also need physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour.
We're a team here at Maintain so in addition to being able to work unsupervised you'll need to be able to work as part of that team. You'll have a positive "can do" attitude and excellent work ethic.
We would also look favourably on:
· On-site leadership experience
· Experience with other plant and equipment
· Experience in final trim, Topcon, Trimble
· Medium Rigid (M/R) truck license
· Experience with maintaining plant and equipment
· Proficiency in technology
