About Us The Exams and Assessment Office at Murdoch University is responsible for all standard teaching period's exams across all campuses; encompassing:
Preparation of exam timetables,Organisation of On-Campus, External, Alternative, and Transnational (TNE) Exams,Administration of the Deferred Assessment Process.The Role The Exams Officer is responsible for the administration of exams in accordance with University policy; the role will administer the exams for allocated Schools, a particular student cohort and also for standard assessment periods.
This appointment will focus primarily on the support and management of online exams.
As a result, we are seeking someone with extensive computer literacy and proficiency to seamlessly slot into the role.
You will work closely with the Learning Technology and ITS teams, in the preparation and organisation of the online exams, ensuring efficiency and positive exam experience for our students.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
Acting as a key point of contact for academic staff from allocated schools to administer the submission of exam requirements,Review exam papers submitted by unit coordinators to ensure compliance with exam requirements and instructions, set up online exam and prepare exam papers for printing,Coordinate and manage the exam process for allocated cohorts, including:Determination of external exam venues,Evaluation and organisation of alternative exam accommodations approved by the Access and Inclusion Office and communicate the approved arrangements to students and Unit Coordinators,Liaise with TNE partner administrators regarding TNE exam requirements,Attend and respond to enquiries from academic staff and students in a timely manner.What you'll bring to this role Completion of a degree with subsequent work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training,Highly effective communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation,High organisational and time/workload management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.Demonstrated high level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft Office applications and specified University software programs, with the capability and willingness to learn new packages as appropriate.Applicants should refer to the Position Description for further details on the work requirements, duties, skills and experience required for this role.
