Job Title : Director - Partnership Support Services
Location : Darwin, Northern Territory
Salary : $153,000 + Super + Salary Packaging + 5 Weeks Annual Leave

About the Role & Client: This exciting leadership role oversees the Partnership Support Services (PSS), a social enterprise that provides tailored implementation support to Aboriginal Controlled Organisations (ACOs). The Director will play a pivotal role in driving capacity-building initiatives, delivering fee-for-service professional assistance, and promoting the growth of ACOs in the human services sector.
The role involves strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational management. It is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned leader to make a tangible impact on social justice and community development.
About the Service: The Partnership Support Services is founded on the principles of respectful, two-way partnerships. It supports Aboriginal Controlled Organisations by offering assistance with capacity building, navigating complex projects, and implementing human service initiatives. The PSS operates with sustainability and cultural safety at its core, ensuring that services meet practical needs, aspirations, and contract obligations of its partners.
Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership for the PSS, focusing on growth, capacity building, and sustainability. Lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and high performance. Drive compliance with governance, risk management, and reporting standards. Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including Aboriginal Controlled Organisations, government, and private entities. Oversee financial management, contract performance, and program outcomes. Promote the PSS through effective marketing, tender writing, and stakeholder engagement. Grow and promote the Business Skills & Requirements: Higher education qualifications in social sciences or business-related disciplines. A minimum of 10 years of experience in community services and senior management. Strong skills in business planning, contract management, and governance. Exceptional leadership and mentoring capabilities. Proven ability to navigate complex projects and build impactful partnerships. Commitment to supporting self-determination and capacity-building for Aboriginal organisations. Experience in marketing and business development within the community services sector.
