ABOUT THE ROLE The Workforce Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Workforce Planning Team with the coordination and administration of the casual workforce, and delivering workforce planning initiatives within the Marvel Stadium Operations department.
Experienced in casual workforce coordination and the Deputy workforce management platform, the successful candidate will be a specialist in rostering, recruitment, training and engagement of large-scale workforce.
Reporting to the Workforce Planning Manager, this role provides an exciting opportunity for a seasoned casual workforce planning coordinator to make an impact in a major events and sporting environment.
We're seeking a pragmatic and dynamic individual who's comfortable rolling up their sleeves and has a proven track record of seamlessly shifting from hands-on support of workforce on event day to focusing on high volume administration and reporting. Our ideal candidate has strong technical and practical experience working with a large and complex casual workforce.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Key Accountabilities: Administration, maintenance, and management of event templates for the Deputy system, ensuring rosters are computed, sent, and inputted into Deputy to meet all deadlines. Liaise with the Event Managers to ensure numbers and positions are rostered as required by the Hirer and Event Operations Department. Establishing strong rapport with the casual team and be the main point of contact, including event days. Monitoring phone calls and emails, and responding to all casual team enquiries. Ensuring all HR functions are delivered ethically and within legislative guidelines, alongside ensuring all policies and procedures are followed correctly. Coaching the broader Marvel Stadium Operations department on EBA requirements. Assist Workforce Planning Manager in all aspects of recruitment, training, and performance management of casual event team members, as required. Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role. Support and contribute to the success of the broader team. Deliver educational and informative communications and presentations to the casual workforce (500+ casuals). OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER Core Competencies: 2+ years' experience in workforce planning, rostering and coordination across a complex casual workforce in a dynamic environment (preferably with 500+ casuals). Proven experience and understanding of Workforce Management platforms and digital solutions. Proven experience in administration, reporting and effective rostering practices. Knowledge of legislative requirements as it relates to casual engagement. A proactive and solutions focused mindset, with the ability to translate complex problems into simple and tangible solutions. Well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A team player who will contribute to the wider team goals. A track record of managing multiple tasks and prioritising projects to ensure timely delivery. Mandatory: Excellent problem solving and issue management skills and experience. Ability to be flexible and a willingness to work outside business hours including evenings and weekends, as required. Excellent attention to detail, quality, accuracy and communication skills. Working with Children Check. Desirable: Exposure to Major Event workforce operations/administration. In depth experience and understanding of the Deputy Workforce Management platform.
