Creative Technology delivers a wide variety of projects, including racing and sports television productions, live events, music festivals, and corporate events. To provide the latest video production technology on a wide variety of projects, we house an impressive and varied inventory of Outside Broadcast Trucks, Portable Production Systems, Cameras, Replay/Media Servers, Processors, Video Switchers, and LED Screens.
We are looking for technicians with a range of skills in these areas to bring it all together on projects we deliver in Perth, throughout Western Australia.
THE ROLE Our Perth office is seeking technicians with passion and experience working on outside broadcasts and/or live events to add to our vibrant team of employees.
Creative Technology's Video Production and Broadcast Technicians are expected to develop their skills in operating, configuring, and maintaining the wide range of broadcast equipment and systems deployed in an Outside Broadcast and Event Production environment.
The role entails interacting with our team of project managers and the operations department to ensure the successful execution of our Racing and Sports Broadcasts and Live Event Productions.
You will be working as part of our technical team operating, installing, and de-rigging camera and video systems across various projects and locations. You will have some practical experience installing and operating broadcast and video production equipment, camera, flyaway systems, and video displays, with a desire to develop your skills further within the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the delivery of our projects under the direction of a project manager or crew leader. Client-focused, personable, and professional in client interactions. Adhere to project-specific timelines. Play a proactive role in your professional development. Participate in ensuring projects are accurately despatched from and returned to the warehouse in their entirety. Uphold work health and safety procedures. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Experience with various video production equipment, such as flyaway and camera systems, graphics, and video replay servers. Knowledge of HD baseband vision systems and the desire to learn about emerging technologies. Familiarity with vision equipment such as Ross Carbonite Vision mixers; Grass Valley and/or Sony CCU and Cameras; Multiviewers; Replay Systems. Sound understanding of video technologies, signal distribution, and broadcast fundamentals. Technical aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting. Experience working on large-scale events, festivals, and touring shows. Clear thinking and calm under pressure. Ability to work in a team or alone. Willingness to travel. Must be reliable and prepared. Enthusiasm for the events and broadcast industry. Flexible towards working hours. INDICATIVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience setting up, configuring, and operating OB Trucks, Replay/Media servers, and graphics systems. Operating broadcast cameras and/or CCU. Experience in operational roles in Video Production/Outside Broadcast – Video Switcher, Graphics Operator, Camera Operator, Audio, and Comms. Experience in production communications. Installation of Video displays. Experienced installing, configuring, and operating Audio-Visual systems.
