In this exciting and challenging position, you will be working as part of a national Marketing and Communications team (spread across Brisbane and Melbourne) that has a significant impact in delivering strategies and communications to position the business for the future.As the Events Specialist, you will:Assume responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of the BMD Group's events which incorporates internal, external, industry, client and stakeholder entertainment and sponsored events.Develop and implement strategy to contribute to the continuous improvement of the delivery of BMD's annual events calendar.Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure a high standard of event delivery.Deliver national face-to face and virtual events including our annual employee recognition awards night.Create and curate events related content for internal and external audiences, disseminating information through multiple digital and traditional platforms.Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to reach target audiences and drive attendance through strategic marketing and engagement.Manage event budgets, including allocating funds for venue rental, catering, marketing, and other expenses.Develop marketing strategies to promote events, including creating promotional materials, advertising, and social media campaigns.Set up events through event software, process registrations, payment of invoices.Draft invitation and thank you letters, other correspondence and marketing materials.Conduct post-event evaluations, financial reconciliation, and reporting.You will be a creative and innovative thinker with extremely high attention to detail and problem-solving skills. In this highly collaborative role, your exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills will be paramount to your success, alongside an outstanding ability to influence others across all levels within the business as well as external suppliers and contractors. The successful candidate will have:Tertiary qualifications in marketing and events or related disciplineOver five years' experience working in events and marketingExceptional project management skills including planning, communication, time management, delivery pathways and negotiationDemonstrated experience working in event operationsAbility to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, flexible, team-based environmentExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesCapacity and willingness to work out of hours, with travel interstate where necessary.Your appetite for originality and a passion for expectation exceeding events will see you thrive in this role, helping BMD to continue creating unforgettable moments for our employees, clients and stakeholders and brands.In return, we offer a rewarding long-term career, opportunities to develop, and a culture that values your contribution.
