About QT Sydney Nestled within the historic former Gowings department store and historic State Theatre, QT Sydney entwines the intrigue and excitement of the past with an edgy designer art deco hotel.
The Role We're counting on you to effectively coordinate all conference and event enquiries along with driving new business and sales into the hotel. Reporting directly to the Events Sales Manager, you are responsible for qualifying incoming event enquiries, meeting client needs with business needs in mind, managing financials and coordinating events before handing on to our operational teams to execute. You will embody and champion our friendly and highly attentive service standards whilst upholding the policies and procedures of our Hotel & Liquor License.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for coordinating all event types at the hotel in a timely and accurate manner, and according to our standard operating procedures.Prepare detailed proposals and contracts that are tailored to client requirements, focusing on attention to detail.Assist Catering & Convention Team to execute the events including BEO, floorplan, rundown and all logistics movement.Maintain and update current files, including contract and deposit schedules.Generate Banquet Event Orders for upcoming functions / meetings, conferences and events.Maintain up to date administration of Ivvy including accounts, sales activity, and revenue before and after events.Function amendments to be completed and distributed.Support the hotel's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by inviting, welcoming and connecting with our guests through each customer experience.Develop sales negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.Be fully conversant with the products, packages, menus and capacities of our function rooms and outlets in order to provide professional advice and guidance to prospective clients, and sell the space appropriately.Work closely with the Conference Sales Manager and Director of Sales to maximise revenue opportunities from function facilities, room nights and F&B outlets.Coordinate site inspections and entertainment with a focus on conversion, and connecting our guests with our spaces.Skills & Experience Working rights in Australia.Experience in similar role an advantage.High attention to details.Highly organised, passionate about client service.Strong interpersonal & communication skills.Reliable team player.Think creatively to troubleshoot issues, overcome objections and implement innovative solutions to maintain the highest standards of service. #J-18808-Ljbffr
