About us At Officeworks we make bigger things happen. Our customers, our team, and our community are our heart and soul. And if our brilliant people have taught us anything, it is that we can do all kinds of incredible things, each and every day.
Fast paced. Innovative. Inspiring. About the role Are you a dynamic planner with a wealth of experience in event management? We want YOU to join our team as an Events Partner and lead the charge in delivering unforgettable internal and external events. You'll be at the heart of creating meaningful engagement and fostering stronger connections across our team, partners, and wider communities.
In this role, reporting to our Internal Communications, Events, and Community Manager, you will take the lead for events across the entire business—from large-scale conferences to intimate team gatherings. Your expertise will drive everything from event planning and logistics to budget management with the aim of delivering fun and engaging events.
This is more than just event coordination. You'll have the opportunity to think strategically, assessing where we can innovate and elevate our events to new heights. What activities are we currently doing, and where are the exciting opportunities to improve and expand?
As our Events Partner, you will:
Lead the planning, logistics and end to end running of events including Officeworks internal conferences, Partner Forums, store openings, end of year events, team volunteering events and other events as required. Conduct site visits, coordinate and lead venue selection and manage contracts with external vendors (e.g. decorators, caterers, tech support). Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders to define event objectives, formats, budgets, timelines and deliverables. Manage and maintain each of the approved event budgets to ensure a tightly controlled spend and maximum cost effectiveness and value from external suppliers/third party providers. Collaborate with internal and external communications teams for support where needed to develop content and promote events. About you We are looking for someone that is proactive, has strong experience managing and planning a calendar of events and delivering exciting and engaging events that are cost effective and impactful. In addition, you will have:
Strong experience in event management (4 years +) with experience within Retail or a large corporate environment. Demonstrated event management experience in terms of project management, decision-making processes and problem solving. Proven development and implementation of internal and external events. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines. Strong stakeholder management and negotiating skills with the ability to successfully engage with a large and diverse network of internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Our culture It's all in a day's work when you're part of the Officeworks community – where you're not defined by who you are, but what you can do. We celebrate our teams' uniqueness by offering the below to the Officeworks family:
An inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment. Flexible working arrangements to best support your individual needs. A key focus on wellbeing and safety. Generous discounts at Officeworks, Geeks 2 U, Bunnings, Kmart, Target and Catch. Ongoing training and development opportunities to progress your career. Industry leading Growing Families policy.
