Why you will enjoy this role… An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Events Operations Coordinator to assist with a variety of events at Sydney Showground.
This is a rare opportunity to join a venue which hosts the largest ticketed event in the southern hemisphere, the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Reporting to the Manager, Events you will be managing the delivery of venue services pre, during, and post events, as well as providing administration support to the Event Planning and Venue Operations department.
You will be involved in assisting exhibitors for a number of events such as Oz Comic Con, Dog & Cat Lovers Festival, Wedding Expo, Book Fair to name a few.
You will be responsible for a range of services including, but not limited to:
Event administrationAttend department, event operations and Sydney Olympic Park Authority meetingsProvide support to the Event Planning and Floor Manager teamsManage the venue service orders and request process, end to endLiase with internal departments for requirements on internal eventsOffice hours are by agreement with your manager; however, the nature of the events industry means that this role requires some weekend, evening and public holiday work around events being staged at Sydney Showground or by the RAS.
To excel in this role, you will have… A passion for delivery of sales and eventsTertiary Qualification in Venue/Event Management or still studyingExperience using Microsoft Office SuiteExperience using Momentus Enterprise Event Management Software (desirable)Excellent time management & organisational skillsBe proactive, show initiative, anticipate and solve problemsAbility to work in a team and autonomously, as requiredCustomer service focusPrevious experience working with various contractors and/or clientsExcellent written & verbal communication skillsProven history of being punctual & reliableHave an outstanding work ethic and impeccable groomingBe legally entitled to live & work in AustraliaAbout Us… The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) manages the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground.
