In this role, you will assist in the delivery of majorfestivals, sport and recreation events within the City of Mandurahwhich build the capacity of local businesses, the community andincrease visitation to our City Centre.

But enough about us, let's talk aboutyou You will be responsible for:
Working with the Coordinator, Festivals & Events andother City staff to plan major festivals, events andrecreational activities that have local appeal and extendopportunities for social and economic developmentIdentifying opportunities to leverage the City'scurrent public open space, infrastructure and communityfacilities to attract new events and recreationalactivitiesLiaising with external organisations to developopportunities to host new events within the City ofMandurah.Assisting in the creation, planning, coordination anddelivery of festivals and events.What you will bring to the team To be successful you will have:
A degree / qualification and or a minimum 3 years relevantexperience to the roleSubstantial experience in major event management or similardiscipline.Previous experience with large scale event delivery in anoutdoor public spaceStrong commitment to customer service and eventdeliveryA sound understanding of project, contractor and riskmanagementGood knowledge of major event delivery across a number ofportfoliosEstablished networks within the industryDeveloped interpersonal and verbal communication skills,including listening, problem solving and conflict resolutionskillsDemonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities andtime management skillsAbility to remain calm in a stressful environmentStrong report writing skillsA sound knowledge of sponsorship and fundingAs part of our recruitment process, you will be required toparticipate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drugand alcohol testingThe finer details This permanent full-time position attracts a competitive Level 5annual remuneration of $87,623 - $93,338 per annum (dependent onqualifications and experience) and a wide range of benefits toreward your contribution.
