Role DetailBased in our Brisbane office, we are looking for an event marketing advisor to plan, coordinate and deliver events, seminars and sponsorship activations with a strong focus on excellence, attention to detail and stakeholder management. This role could also be suitable for an outstanding event marketing executive ready to take the next step.
As part of the Brand & Marketing Division, within the Business Development and Marketing team, this is a hands-on operational role, where you will play a pivotal role in creating and executing a wide range of high-profile events designed to build and strengthen client relationships, elevate brand awareness, and support business development initiatives. This is a key position within the Brisbane team, where you will collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional, impactful experiences.
Key responsibilities:Coordinate the planning and delivery of a high volume of virtual, in-person and hybrid events and seminars as part of both the Brisbane and national internal and client events program.Research and activate sponsorships and industry partnerships and support negotiations.Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing team, and stakeholders, to deliver powerful events and campaigns that positively impact revenue.All aspects of event marketing, including taking briefs, ideating, scoping, sharing knowledge, planning, administrative tasks, stakeholder management, event delivery, profiling, and evaluation.Provide a high-level of on-site and virtual support during events and seminars.Budget management.Develop tactical and creative event concepts that engage both internal stakeholders and the event audience.Draft event communications including invitations and associated collateral.Ensure all event tasks are completed to deadlines and stakeholders are kept updated.Set up and management of event guest lists in our client database.Co-ordinate on-brand collateral associated with the event; including invitations, brochures, signage, menus, name badges, seating plans and place cards.Liaise with relevant members of the client floor and office premises staff to ensure bookings, catering, AV requirements, signage etc. are delivered to the highest quality for all events.Research, source and recommend appropriate venues for events as required.Accurate and detailed reporting of event attendance and event feedback.Approach event and sponsorship initiatives with a marketing mindset, delivering on KWM's profiling objectives. This includes creating social media briefs and finding opportunities for cross-promotion within broader campaigns.Actively collaborate with and support colleagues across the national events marketing team to generate ideas, share information and help with capacity.About YouYou bring a proven track record in a similar role, with a passion for events and a drive to continuously learn and improve. You will also bring:
At least 3 years' experience in planning and delivering end-to-end events of excellence in a fast-paced corporate environment.Knowledge of the Brisbane corporate landscape including venues, caterers and industry contacts.Excellent stakeholder management and strong client service approach.Initiative and sound judgement. You proactively identify what needs to be done, seek the right input to validate your approach, and confidently work independently to deliver results.Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in managing budgets.Creativity coupled with superior attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders at all career levels.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience using SalesForce, Eloqua, and online platforms ON24 Platform and Webex, will be looked on favourably.As with most roles in events, flexibility to work outside normal hours will be required e.g breakfast and evening events, with occasional weekend work required.Tertiary education in event management, marketing, or related field will be looked on favourably.Next StepsApplications close COB Sunday 24th November 2025.
