Events Executive (Maternity Cover)

An exciting opportunity to grow your event fundraising experience and make a difference to the lives of soldiers, veterans, and their families. You'll be a key player in the development of the bespoke challenge events portfolio during a period of growth for the team and the charity.
You will be managing a series of events, both established with a core audience and new events under a similar theme. You'll have the opportunity to flex your marketing skills to ensure the events hit their recruitment goals and develop relationships with all the supporters to reach income targets on top of ensuring the logistics of the events are running smoothly. The role will also support on the wider bespoke challenge portfolio working on flagship events and playing a vital role in raising £2.9 million as a whole across the Events and Corporate team.
To excel in this role, you'll need good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people from a variety of backgrounds. The ability to write and deliver multi-channel communication plans is a must, and you'll enjoy picking up the phone and speaking to supporters. You'll be confident managing multi-faceted projects with a high level of organisation.
The starting salary is £34,500. After a probationary period of 6 months, the successful candidate will benefit from the Charity's full range of employment benefits including an income protection scheme and an employer contribution pension. There will also be opportunities to participate in key Charity events and activities with a TOIL scheme in place.
This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week, on a 9–12-month contract to cover maternity leave based at the Charity's Office in London, Victoria.
