The position is part time (0.6FTE) and fixed term until the end of March 2025, with the possibility of ongoing for the right person.
Please note there will be occasions throughout the year where, due to the events calendar, additional hours will need to be worked, so flexibility is essential in this role.Events at Woodleigh are special.

Play an important role in facilitating community, connectedness, communication, creativity and contribution at our school.The Events Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing and is responsible for managing the following, in a consistent manner, across the three campuses of Woodleigh School:The coordination and project management of all major parent-facing community events and activities.
This includes end-to-end management with internal and external parties that enhance the profile of Woodleigh School and, ultimately, future enrolments.Fostering positive relationships with Woodleigh's Alumni through Alumni Reunion events and maintaining the School's database.Acting as the School's representative for the Parent Volunteer Chairs on each Parent and Friends Group (PFG) committee and by extension supporting and uniting their priorities with events and fundraising.Selection Criteria:Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children, staff and the general community.Proven experience in event work and engaging with the community.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues throughout the School, alumni, other community members and the public.The demonstrated ability to strategize, implement and build community programs and activities, along with a talent for motivating volunteers.Demonstrably strong writing, planning and organisational skills.High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information.Ability to organise and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritisation to meet deadlines.Education and Qualifications:A bachelor's degree (or extensive professional experience in a relevant area) in relevant area, for example, events, business, marketing or a related field.Conditions of Employment:A Working with Children Check is required for this position.Qualification and First Aid Training confirmation is required for this position.Applications should be addressed to HR and submitted online by 5pm Wednesday 24th July 2024.
