Job DescriptionSupply Nation is the Australian leader in Supplier Diversity and provides a direct business to business purchasing link between corporate Australia, government agencies and Indigenous owned businesses.
Our events aim to foster connections between our Indigenous businesses and corporate, government and not-for-profit members and highlight our positioning as a leader in the Indigenous business sector.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Assistant to join Supply Nation on a 9 month fixed term contract! Reporting to the Events Manager and working within the Marketing, Communications and Media team, the overall objective of the Events Assistant is to assist with a range of tasks, from the planning stages through to execution of events.
This role will be critical in supporting the events team in the delivery of Supply Nation's flagship event Connect.
Desired Skills and ExperienceMore specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage the Connect inbox, providing a response within 48 hours to external enquiries via phone and email.Collaborate across teams including events, marketing, and sponsorships to improve responses for external enquiries.Proactively consider customer service requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs.Resolve complex customer issues and needs with support from the Events Manager.Assist and support with VIPs management working closely with the Executive Assistant.Prepare/update communication materials for Exhibitors, Awards Finalists, Speakers and Talent.Respond to changing circumstances and adjust documents, briefs and communications when necessary.Accommodate and respond with initiative to changing priorities and work environments.Coordinate merchandise delivery to venue and packing of Tradeshow bags.Support coordination, including ordering, receiving and dispatch of Supply Nation merchandise.Provide administrative assistance to the Events team and broader department.Champion cultural values and integrity within the organisation, suppliers and members.Foster a culture of cultural learning, respect and inclusion among staff and stakeholders.Respect and embed cultural practices and knowledge as BAU.Maintain a clean and safe work environment while complying with all safety policies and procedures and participating in any workplace WHS practices.What we need from you: Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies, cultures and issues affecting Indigenous Australians in business.Knowledge of Excel, Jomablue, Events Air, LUP, Humanitix, Salesforce.Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills to deliver outcomes on time.A strong commitment to superior customer service.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.Experience with ticketing systems (e.g.
Eventbrite, Humanitix or similar).Experience with EDM systems (Autopilot experience a bonus), Salesforce or other similar CRM system.Experience with virtual/online event platforms.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Ability to problem solve and work independently.Attendance at after-hours meetings and/or events may be required.Interstate travel may be required for events.Suitably qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
