Events and Marketing Coordinator | Fixed-Term Contract | Competitive Hourly Rate | Retail & Consumer Goods Your new company Hays Recruitment is currently partnering with a one of the biggest shopping centres in the Northern Territory to identify an experienced marketing and events professional to oversee and organize events that will make a significant impact on their target audience. As a marketing and events coordinator, you will be ensuring the events are successful, cos-effective, and adhere to budget and time constraints. Your new role Your primary responsibility will involve assisting the Marketing Manager in developing and executing the organization's marketing strategy. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in nurturing relationships with local community groups, retailers, and suppliers on a daily basis. This position is central to consumer and retail engagement, and it contributes significantly to the successful implementation of an innovative and strategic marketing plan. While you will represent the Marketing Manager during their absence, please note that you won't have full authorisation as a media representative. Your duties and responsibilities will be Planning and Coordination: Plan, organise, and execute various events, including conferences, seminars, product launches, and corporate gatherings. Budget Management: Monitor event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions. Vendor Relations: Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure necessary services and resources. Logistics and Operations: Handle logistics such as venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodation. Marketing and Promotion: Develop marketing strategies to promote events and attract attendees. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks during event planning and execution. Team Leadership: Lead event teams, manage staff, and coordinate tasks effectively. Post-Event Evaluation: Evaluate event success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement. What you'll need to succeed Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe product suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop). Excellent time management and project management skills. Self-motivated with a positive attitude. Confidence in dealing with retailers, suppliers, team members, and management. Experience of developing and implementing multichannel content and campaign strategies. Ability to interpret data for digital and social growth. Familiarity with CRM systems, CMS, Google Analytics, eDM, and mobile marketing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Adobe Acrobat (Intermediate level).
