About Us Palliative Care South Australia (PCSA) is a leading charity and independent peak body representing palliative care providers, consumers and their families and those with an interest in palliative care in South Australia.
We are looking for an Events and Communications Officer on a part time basis (0.50 FTE). With an active interest in event delivery, fundraising activities and experience in supporting the delivery of communications across varied platforms and to a range of stakeholders, your contribution will be key to the success of PCSA.
PCSA is a small and vibrant team delivering multiple initiatives to support our vision. The position would be suited to someone actively looking to make a difference working in the not for profit, community services sector.

The role can be undertaken across 3 to 5 days, with Thursday being included as a working day.
Support training event delivery with venue bookings and catering, monitoring and communicating with attendees. Assist with post event reports, ensuring reports meet requirements and are meaningful to support continuous improvement for eventsAssist with the timely and accurate input of supporter information and donations into the donor/fundraising databaseParticipate in fundraising activities and assist with event coordination across the fundraising program, including an annual fundraising dinnerAssist with the upload of information to social platforms and the preparation of stakeholder newsletters across the programs of PCSAAssist with review of content on the website ensuring information is up to date and relevant Review of communication databases to ensure correct information is held and the delivery of communication to intended stakeholder groupsPrepare reports on website activity, email and social media marketingSkills and Experience Required Experience in providing event and fundraising activity supportExperience in assisting with communication to stakeholders across a range of platforms - website, social and eNewsStrong administration skills and a high level of customer service with the ability to engage with stakeholders in person and on the phoneHigh digital literacy skills, in particular email, Microsoft 365, Zoom, MailChimp, Canva High attention to detail, with a high level of written and verbal communication skillsSound time management, planning and organisational skills to meet the demands of a busy positionStrong sense of initiative and an ethos of continuous improvement A passion to support the organisation's work raising funds to ensure all South Australians have access to quality palliative care.Role subject to National Police Check, current driver's license and right to work in AustraliaPosition Description available on our website: https://palliativecaresa.org.au/careers-at-pcsa
