Events and Admin Assistant (13 month contract)The Corporate Services team focuses on the smooth day-to-day running of the office, coordination of Munich Re Australia's events, and internal communications and marketing.
Corporate services is responsible for the following areas: building and facilities management, corporate events, procurement, and communications and marketing.
You will report to the Corporate Services Manager, and we're looking to start the successful candidate on 6th January 2025.
Your Role Events coordination: Coordination and planning of internal events linked to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), wellbeing, community charity, and corporate initiatives, along with external client events and conferences.Examples include the end of year party, Oktoberfest, culture week, and multiple cultural events throughout the year, bring your whole self to work festivities, and charity projects.Facilities administration Support the Corporate Services Manager with ESG reporting and initiatives, business memberships, and subscriptions.Participate in relevant training to be a fire warden and first aid contact for staff and maintain first aid facilities.Be an employee representative in both the WHS Committee and DEI Working group.Office Administration Provide ad hoc administration support for Corporate Services and HR.Main travel booking contact for HR concerning international assignments.Support Corporate Services, HR, IT, and GLA team members with preparing monthly expenses in Concur (if required).Switchboard relief and back-up support for other Assistants.Assist with Intranet updates.Your Profile Experience with event coordination.Experience providing support to senior leaders in a corporate environment.Proven proactivity, strong administration, organisational, and prioritisation skills.Intermediate to advanced MS Office and computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to effectively build trust, credibility, and maintain strong relationships.At Munich Re, we embrace and value the interaction of diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and thought.
