Position Summary To provide exceptional guest experience and support to the Events Sales & Planning department and operations, contributing to the maximisation of hotel revenue and profitability. This role requires a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail. Provide administrative support for the department, including proposal and contract preparation, menu creation, place card and table plan typing, and other clerical tasks.Efficiently utilise the catering system to manage event details and generate reports.Prepare and distribute internal and external event confirmations.Attend and contribute to daily briefings, event confirmation meetings, and other relevant meetings.Assist with hotel inspections, promotions, and sales lead follow-up to maximize conversion and revenue.Participate in BEO meetings, implement adjustments, and communicate changes effectively.Adhere to Capella standards for telephone etiquette and provide courteous service to clients.Collaborate with team members to maintain strong client relationships and develop sales initiatives. Talent Profile Preferred qualifications in Hospitality or Sales/Marketing.Experience: 1 year of previous catering sales or events environment experience in luxury hotels/resorts or the hospitality sector.Knowledge of Hotel Property and Catering Management Systems (OPERA).Proficient in Social Tables, MS Word, Excel, and the ability to use Outlook email and the internet.Proven customer service experience.Demonstrates organizational and time management skills.Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
