Our Economic Development and Placemaking (EDP) team are seeking an Events Production Supervisor to join the Events team.
Purpose: This position is responsible for coordinating the production, operations, logistical and technical aspects of the preparation, administration, planning and implementation of Council's annual calendar of events delivered by the EDP team in collaboration with another Event Production Supervisor in the team.
The EDP team are responsible for a diverse range of events which can be complex, high profile and high impact, ranging from large scale community events to Civic ceremonies and small-scale activations.
About the role: Manage day-to-day core production requirements i.e., research, planning, execution and evaluation of events.
Provide expert information and advice on production and technical elements of events.
Develop project budgets, undertake quotations, tenders, and oversee contractor management on events.
Lead the management of risk on all events, taking primary responsibility for drafting, implementation and updating of event risk assessments, and various plans including safety, security, traffic, hostile vehicle and contingency plans such as adverse weather.
About you: Tertiary qualifications in Event Management or relevant field, and/or substantial experience in major/community event production and operations, including planning, implementation and evaluation of large scale, outdoor and community events.
Demonstrated experience in Risk Management, Safety and Compliance requirements for the production management of major/community events.
A comprehensive understanding of all technical aspects involved in the presentation of events, including but not limited to the provision of sound and lighting equipment, staging, infrastructure, stallholder management, catering and site design.
