Event Management (Marketing & Communications) Full time The Brisbane Lions are seeking to appoint our next Events & Match Day Coordinator to join the Marketing, Events & Community team. The role will be full-time and report to the Events & Match Day Manager position.
We're looking for someone with an energetic, innovative and self-motivated approach to a particularly hands-on role. The successful candidate will have a natural ability to build connections with stakeholders at all levels, handle high-pressure and ever-changing situations, and a strong ability to manage multiple events at any one time to ultimately create memorable fan and member experiences.
Responsibilities: Assist the Events & Match Day Manager develop high quality, memorable and commercially focused event and match day programs. Focus on ensuring the operations and logistics of each event and match day run smoothly and efficiently. Develop and communicate activities grid, run sheets and on-screen promotions to all relevant parties. Develop fan engagement initiatives that support the Club's crowd and revenue targets. Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders pre, during and post event and game. Receive, respond and communicate to all relevant stakeholders regarding any feedback received. Assist the Commercial team in developing and implementing partner and sponsor activations. This role will work closely with the Marketing, Events & Community, Commercial and Consumer teams and will be working out of Brighton Homes Arena in addition to the Gabba on game days.
Due to the nature of the industry and this position, the ideal candidate must be flexible in their availability as odd hours and weekend work will be required for this role, including working at games.
What you need: Previous experience in a similar role focusing on planning, coordinating and executing large events. Experience in the sports or entertainment industries coordinating game day style events highly desirable. Ability to handle high pressure and ever-changing situations. Excellent time management and communication skills. Collaborative and dynamic team player. High computer literacy and advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite.
