How will I help? Our Events Marketing team provide first class marketing solutions to the Westpac Group, including advice on event marketing strategy and high quality delivery.
Our team are focussed on bringing to life the multi-brand strategy, putting the customer at the centre of everything we do and supporting the group's sustainability agenda.
You will consistently re-evaluate working practices in terms of efficiency and innovation and seek out and implement new practices where required.
As the Event Manager you will be accountable for the end-to-end management of all events in your portfolio to ensure consistent high standards are maintained in terms of quality and service to internal and external clients.
You will develop close working relationships with business divisions, communication and marketing representatives from the specific business units and work with them to discuss strategies, identify priorities and determine their requirements in relation to events.
Key Accountabilities: Attend initial event briefing meeting with the business and assist in scoping eventPrepare and present event proposal to business unitPrepare budget based on full event brief and pre-allocated business unit fundingManage and deliver event to agreed budgetVenue management including research, providing recommendations to the business unit, fee negotiation, contracts, runsheets, catering etc.Supplier management including research, providing recommendations to the business unit, contracts, runsheets etc.Management of the invitation, registration, website, evaluation and data process including research, providing business unit with appropriate recommendations on best campaign method, engaging and briefing appropriate teams (internal and external) on campaign requirements, and providing strategic input into campaign designContent and brand management, including attending content working group sessions and providing input and ensuring the event is branded within guidelinesManagement of AV, webcasting, staging and theming including providing recommendations on level of AV/theming support for event, sourcing quotes, briefing AV supplier and on-the-day managementSpeaker management including researching and providing recommendations to business unit, fee negotiation, travel arrangements and overseeing the speaker briefing processWhat do I need? Proven corporate events experience ideally across Financial Services/ corporate environmentPrevious experience in managing multi-day conferences for 50 people or moreExperience in managing and reconciling event budgets in excess of $1m or greaterProven ability to implement event strategies throughout multiple business unitsAbility to transfer creative ideas into an outcomeStrong organisational, time management, negotiation and influencing skillsAdvanced level Microsoft Outlook, OneNote, Teams, Planner, Excel, Word and PowerPointStrong understanding of digital technology in the events space, including webcasting, streaming, podcasts, interactive voting, webinars, social media etc.Strong understanding of Aventri, e-marketing and event registration systems an advantagePlease note: your flexibility will be required with regular and ad hoc travel for this role including weekends and evenings.
