We are thrilled to partner with one of Brisbane's leading event venues, known for their versatility in hosting both private and corporate functions, as they search for their next talented Events Manager to join their dynamic team.
What's in it for you?
$75K - $85K + Super Incentivised commission Take the lead and be the sole driver of events coming into your space.
About the role: Identify and generate new commercial sales leads to host events at our venue through proactive efforts including cold calling, networking, and research.
Work with the General Manager to manage sales opportunities through the full sales funnel—from initial contact to closing.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from the moment they inquire to post-event follow-up.
Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of events, including scheduling, budgeting, logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site management.
Host site visits for prospective clients, offering venue walkthroughs and providing tailored proposals that highlight the venue's unique features and event capabilities.
Ensure that every event is delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction, acting as the point of contact for clients, vendors, and staff throughout the process.
Develop and manage detailed event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring all third-party services meet event requirements.
About you: At least 12 months in event marketing coordination and sales, or a related field.
Must have a current/valid QLD RSA Certificate.
Proven ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and clients to achieve the best outcomes for the business.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and colleagues at all levels.
A genuine passion for both sales and event planning, with an enthusiasm for delivering exceptional client experiences and driving business growth.
Occasional evening and weekend work required based on event schedules.
On-site presence required for event setup and execution.
