The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia's newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world-class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
As an Event Logistics team member, your role will support the setup, pack down, and equipment movement for Events throughout the property. You will be responsible for setting up and packing down tables, bars, drink stations, buffets, stages, various floor coverings, walls, and curtains to ensure that every aspect of our events runs smoothly and is set up for success. This is a fantastic opportunity to put your skills and knowledge to the test and deliver a thrilling new era for events.
A few of your responsibilities: Responsible for all equipment setup/pack-up for our world-class events, including dinners, tradeshows, theatres, and parties.Set up tables, chairs, buffets, and other setups related to the event.Facilitate all inbound and outbound freight and deliveries within the Event Spaces.Operate specialized equipment, such as a forklift, pallet jack, and Walkie Stacker, to transport large-scale items from the loading dock to the event spaces.Maintain our warehouse and storage rooms and back-of-house areas.Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot any issues that might arise and problem-solve to the best of your ability.What we will be looking for: Previous experience in Events Banquet or warehouse service field.An understanding of safe work practices and the ability to follow procedures and processes.A current Forklift Licence, and Pallet Jack experience (advantageous but not required).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol.About you: You will be passionate about joining a team of dynamic professionals who thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
