Location: Brisbane Category: Business Support Position Type: Permanent Job Reference: BOE/1833325 No File Attached Share This: The Opportunity This role will suit a highly experienced human factors and investigations specialist who is keen to work as part of a small expert Assurance, Risk and Compliance team responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of BDA's governance framework, enterprise risk management and compliance.
The successful candidate will be able to effectively navigate a complex organization operating in a highly technical, innovative and regulated environment, and will be a skilled influencer able to inspire cultural change.
This role can be based in Brisbane or RAAF Base Amberley.
Responsibilities: Coordinate BDA-wide incident and investigations management; provide human factors and investigations subject matter expertise and leadership Develop and continuously improve systems, processes, templates, charters to enable event classification, investigations and learning outcomes Coordinate a skilled set of investigators able to respond and investigate serious incidents as required; mentor and ensure quality control of investigation methodology and outputs; allocate investigators to undertake detailed investigations of serious incidents; lead 2-4 investigations per annum Coordinate Serious Incident Review Board meetings and associated admin Establish predictive risk analytics to identify serious incident trends and insights Consult with and guide key stakeholders in relation to incident and investigations management processes and outcomes.
To be successful, you will: Hold a relevant Bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience Have a strong understanding of human factors and incident investigations with extensive experience in a senior practitioner role in a large, complex organisation Have advanced communication skills and an ability to engage and influence stakeholders to drive change Be able to research, develop, implement and embed new processes which are customised to the specific business environment Have highly developed analytical and critical thinking skills We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
