Event Coordinator / Sales Consultant

The Event Sales Consultant is responsible for the sales and management of weddings and events. The role involves liaising with external clients when they inquire about hiring items for their events, and offering expertise, style advice, and suggestions based on product knowledge and event expertise. The Event Sales Consultant has a strong knowledge of the Simply Seated inventory as well as system processes, with a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. The role requires strong communication skills with both external clients and colleagues, in the timely and accurate management of all logistics, operational, and scheduling activities. The duties outlined in this position description may vary from time to time depending on the evolving needs of the business.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of (or assist in the management of) event salesResponding to all inquiries through email and phone in a timely manner (same day, within business hours)Completing all invoicing and providing accurate quotes as requiredWorking in WinHire, updating and maintaining the systemFollowing sales procedures as documented by Simply SeatedAttending to client consultations via phone, emails, and showroom meetings in a courteous and professional mannerCreating vision boards for the development of the style conceptSetting and attending showroom meetingsFollowing up on quotes, sales, and payments in a timely mannerRemaining up to date with all inventory and services whilst maintaining an understanding of the Simply Seated businessTaking payments and recording them in WinHireCommunicating delivery details to operations staff/driversMaintaining an organized showroom and ensuring all clean items are stored in an orderly mannerPreparing items such as linen, cutlery, and cushions, if support is requiredGenerating wedding and corporate leads and establishing new businessAssessing customer needs and providing assistance in suitable productsWorking closely with co-workers to ensure proper customer careMaintaining accurate records and monitoring sales reportsGathering operational and delivery details from clients prior to the scheduled deliveryLiaising between warehouse staff and internal staffAttending wedding exhibitions and assisting with organizing wedding exhibitions as requiredJob Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $72,000.00 per year
