Evangelisation Coordinator – DiscipleshipCaroline SpringsCaroline Springs is a vibrant and growing community located in the western region of Melbourne. There is an opportunity for an Evangelisation Coordinator, focussing their efforts in the area of Discipleship at St Catherine of Siena Parish, Caroline Springs. We are looking for someone with a heart for the work of evangelisation, to help us continue the work with our missionary program. Ideally this person is a keen observer and learner and has a capacity to think innovatively about how we can best lead people today towards spiritual maturity. This permanent part-time position is based at the Parish Office in Caroline Springs. The role is required to work 12 hours per week, days and working hours are flexible. The successful applicant will work with the Parish Priest, Parish Team, Parish Leadership Team and volunteers. Terms and conditions are governed by the Archdiocese of Melbourne.Key RequirementsRespect for the mission, identity and core values of the parish, its cultural diversity, faith, worship, hospitality, outreach, and service to all who engage with the parishStrong PC skills, in particular Microsoft Office suite of productsAn understanding of cultural challenges the faith of youth, millennials, and young familiesBachelor's Degree in Religious Education, Theology or other related field is preferredFive years or more experienceMust be flexible in working days and hours; weekend work may be required as neededExperience in providing a range of secretarial and office management servicesAbility to work to timeframes with attention to detail and priorities while handling regular interruptionsGood communication skills with ability to relate to a variety of peopleTeam orientation, including ability to work harmoniously with staff and volunteersKey ResponsibilitiesWith the Parish Priest, and Parish Leadership Team, to develop an effective parish discipleship pathway which seeks to grow passionate disciples into lifelong faith and relationship with JesusIs an inviting figure in the parish community.
