We are looking for an Evaluation Consultant (approximately 5-10 years experience) with an interest in working across a breadth of subjects and sectors including (but not limited to) environment, sustainability, climate change and disaster management, community wellbeing, the arts, transport, regional development and social impact.

Full time (flexibility negotiable). Job Description As an Evaluation Consultant you will be expected to contribute to proposals and manage projects in line with your skills and experience. Specifically, your role will involve the:
Design and delivery of evaluation projects and related advisory services, including lapsing and non-lapsing program evaluations, impact evaluations and economic evaluations. This includes knowledge of and/or experience in development of program logics. Leading the design, collection, critical analysis and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data to build and communicate an evidence base. This includes the design and management of online surveys, interviews and focus groups, and data visualisation. Contributing to the development and delivery of presentations, workshops and reports. Supporting the growth and development of our evaluation and program advisory services including contributions to other strategic advisory projects at the front-end of investment lifecycle in line with your interests and experience. Developing, managing and strengthening client relationships through delivery of pragmatic, quality and tailored advice, becoming a trusted adviser to clients. This includes identifying and using appropriate evaluation methods and approaches, quickly digesting and using complex data and information, and critically reflecting on findings to draw conclusions and make useful recommendations. You are comfortable with uncertainty, and willing to navigate a path through this with support from colleagues. Building + maintaining relationships: You take time to listen and get to know colleagues and clients and invest in building strong, enduring and genuine relationships. Commercial acumen: Knowing what we need to do for the business to be sustainable and achieve our purpose, particularly within an advisory context. Communication + influence: An effective negotiator, you have situational awareness, and take a 'no surprises approach'. You're responsive and clear in written and verbal communication and take time to prepare for important interactions to communicate effectively. This might include for example, project plans, survey communication, reports, interviews & focus groups, workshops and presentations. Client focus: You're a professional. You deeply understand business advisory client needs and the context in which they operate (e.g. government processes, investment frameworks and requirements), to provide frank, considered advice.
