The opportunity Join CSIRO - Australia's National Science and Innovation Agency Enhance STEM program evaluation with stakeholders Term opportunity till Dec 2027 We are seeking an Evaluation Capability Advisor to join our national team at CSIRO Education and Outreach.
Your primary responsibility will be working with internal and external partners to enhance the STEM education ecosystem.
You'll co-design evaluation tools, processes, and frameworks to monitor and improve program effectiveness, ensuring impactful results through collaboration with your team.
Your duties will include: Co-designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, common indicators, data collection methods, and evidence standards to better assess STEM education program impact and effectiveness in CSIRO and the broader STEM education ecosystem.
Provide capability building, mentoring, and coaching around evidence-based practices to partnering organisations.
Assist with the development and implementation of scalable models of evidence-based STEM education and learning.
Help build consensus across the STEM education ecosystem around common definitions and outcomes for STEM education, experiences, and learning.
Assist with the development of resources, guides, and other artefacts to provide ongoing benefit to the STEM education ecosystem.
Adhere to ethical guidelines when working with stakeholders, collecting and handling data, ensuring transparency and integrity.
Engage with various stakeholders, including project teams, partners, and relevant stakeholders, to ensure alignment and effective collaboration/co-design.
Writing of case study reports and stories of impact conveying the learnings and impact of projects and programs delivered by CSIRO Education & Outreach.
Location: All major cities with CSIRO sites considered
Salary: AU$110,038 - AU$119,080 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need: Relevant diploma/bachelor's or advanced degree or equivalent relevant work experience in program evaluation, social science, or education research.
Ability to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve objectives on time and within budget.
This role has child safety obligations.
Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to obtain and provide evidence that they hold a valid paid/employee (not volunteer) Working with Children/ Vulnerable People Check prior to confirmation of appointment.
