We're looking for a Safety Health & Wellbeing Advisor with a background in bridges and road construction to work with our client Main Roads WA based in East Perth. This will be on a fixed term contract until June 2025, with the likelihood of extension.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Review, liaise with relevant parties and prepare and/or make improvements to safety documentation as required Investigate and respond to EQ safe and ICAM incidents Organise and facilitate weekly Crew meetings and monthly Toolbox meetings – prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up issues raised at these meetings Review and provide comments on safety documentation associated with ETS Panel Contract inspections Conduct yard inspections, site audits, critical risk observations, safety observation conversations and safety moments. Maintain staff Training Matrix and manage training requirements for the team Undertake Plant and Equipment risk assessments and maintain plant and equipment registers What you will bring to the team: 3-8 years OSH experience in the construction area preferably with road and bridge construction experience Comprehensive understanding of the development and implementation of policies and practices that comply with the Occupational Safety and Health act and regulations and any other relevant statutory obligations High levels of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy and initiative Good level of written, verbal and numeracy skills Sound computer and software skills (Email, word processing, spreadsheets, document control) Interested?
