ETS are currently seeking a Head Mechanic to join our team at our Townsville workshop. Work alongside an awesome local team, supporting an Australian owned Company.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with the National team members to identify areas for improvement in workshop and fleet maintenance activities. Coordinate tasks such as routine maintenance, breakdowns, and one-off inspections for both oneself and other mechanics/apprentices, providing job cards and service sheets. Ensure that all scheduled maintenance is completed to the required standards within specified deadlines according to ETS policies and procedures. Supervise workshop activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe completion of work. Manage weekly parts ordering for maintenance and repairs. Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Skills Required: Possession of relevant mechanical trade qualifications. Valid driver's licence (Heavy rigid licence highly desirable). Demonstrated experience working with diesel trucks and hydraulic equipment. Technical understanding of EWP's, utes, chippers, and vegetation maintenance equipment. Hands-on experience in mechanical and hydraulic engineering is highly regarded. Previous experience in team supervision and leadership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
